After 8 Years, MDSoF is no Longer a CrossFit Affliate 4

This has been a long time coming and we have finally de-affiliated from CrossFit. You won’t notice any difference in the programming or the coaching, it’s mostly just a behind-the-scenes thing. However, there are a few housekeeping items that we need to post to honor our affiliation agreement:

  • We have used a PeninsulaCrossFit.com domain name in the past. If you have any links or email addresses to that domain name, you should change them to MadDawgFitness.com as that domain will go away at some point.
  • You may have already noticed there are no classes called ‘CrossFit’ on our schedule. That class is now called ‘Strength and Conditioning’ class.
  • You shouldn’t see any advertisement linking CrossFit and MDSoF but if you do, please let Susan or Saul know by email.
  • We think we have taken everything off the website that contains CrossFit but if you find something, again, please let us know.

We look forward to your company on this new leg of the journey. Our commitment continues to be to deliver to our athletes the most up-to-date, safe and, most importantly, effective coaching and programming available; however, if you have any questions about the change, please contact myself or Susan directly.

Can’t say I didn’t expect this to happen one day, could sense this coming even years ago. 🙂

Best of luck to you guys during the next chapter of your awesome business. One question though – what about all your great Yelp reviews that mention Crossfit? Do you have to remove them? If so, that would seem to be a big loss since word-of-mouth will be extra important now. I’d be happy to edit mine if needed but I’d have to take out like 3/4 of it!

Kris, thanks for your comment. Regarding your comments on Yelp, we’re going to wait to see what the CF legal department says.

You have my support! Or will have my support. I’m moving back to the Peninsula in February and really look forward to coming back to Mad Dawg. Would love to schedule a (dys)Functional Movement Screen in the next few weeks.

@Matt – email us times that are good to do the FMS and we can go from there. We look forward to seeing you again soon! 🙂
