Nutrition Guide Delivery 3

As I have said a few times before, this year Susan and I set ourselves three goals for MDSF: Make nutrition a bigger part of our training, add a mobility component to each class and have more gatherings outside of class. While we have made good efforts towards each goal, we have put extra time into nutrition because it we think it is so valuable to getting fitter, but more importantly, healthier. When I say we, I don’t mean the “Royal We”; in the waivers we have everyone sign, nutrition information is one of the top requests.

In early March, we had Whole9 present a nutrition workshop and we also signed up to be a Whole9 Partner. What that means is we get our own personal version of the Whole30 Success Guide which will be free to all MDSF members!

The nutrition guide has so much information in just 42 pages that we think it will be much easier if we go through it with you. Starting this week, we are offering several mini-classes at the following times with Susan, Erin and/or I. While you are welcome to pick up your MDSF Nutrition Guide and read it on your own, we think spending 20 minutes with us will be really helpful.

Tuesday, April 19 at 4:40 PM

Wednesday, April 20: 12:40 PM, 4:40 PM, 5:40 PM, 6:40 PM

Thursday, April 21: 7 PM (after stretching class)

Friday, April 22nd: 6:40 PM (before F2H2)

Here is what you can expect:
We are going to ask you for your goal(s) and explain how to use the MDSF Nutrition Guide in that context. In addition, we will also be asking you if you need more specialized and/or specific help with implementing what is in the MDSF Nutrition Guide.

In addition, Susan and I are inviting anyone who wants to meet us at the Menlo Park farmers’ market Sunday, April 24 to do some shopping.

We are also going to have a Whole30 challenge starting Monday, April 25 (more on this later).

P.S. Exactly 107 days have elapsed this year. I know, time has really flown. We have 75 days (6,480,000 seconds, 108,000 minutes, 1800 hours or about 10 weeks) until we are half way through this year. If you want to get a new PR on your favorite WOD or just look better in your swim costume, we think dialing in your nutrition will help.

Today is also 51 days since the last upload to the MDSF Picasa album. I just thought I’d point that out, since we’re reflecting on how time flies.
