We are super pleased to announce that Joan will leading a new seminar starting on Tuesday, March 30, specifically targeted to women wanting to lose fat and/or change body composition. This is a 5 week/10 session seminar every Tuesday and Thursday at 6 PM will be FREE to any woman who wants to participate. The Look Better (Almost) Naked Seminar is unique in that there will be a classroom/home practice/discussion component for the first 15 – 20 minutes of class, as well as, the exercise component for the remaining 40 – 45 minutes we are all familiar with. This seminar is NOT a replacement for the Fundamentals seminar, but instead is meant to be an introductory class taken before Fundamentals. This seminar is free because this is the first time we are offering it. In the future, there will be a charge so this is a perfect opportunity to invite your friends who are curious about what we do here at MDF. Finally, there will be an informational meeting which will include a brief overview and workout, Thursday, March 25 at 6 PM.
The tentative outline for the first five sessions follow:
Session 1:
Nutrition discussion: Calories in/Calories out vs. Hormonal Eating.
Exercise discussion: Aerobic vs. Anaerobic
Exercise instruction and workout: Beginner’s WOD
Session 2:
Nutrition discussion: Why no grains?
Exercise instruction and workout: Core
Session 3:
Nutrition discussion: Reducing sugar, reading labels (maltodextrin, carb content, etc.)
Exercise instruction and workout: Lower body (squats)
Session 4:
Nutrition discussion: Fat Loss Flubs (Dairy, liquid foods, etc.)
Exercise instruction and workout: Upper body (pushing/pulling)
Session 5:
Nutrition discussion: Protein: how much?
Exercise instruction and workout: Full body (thrusters and/or lunges)
