Breanne brought the heat to Aromas! Yes, you read that right sports fans, 255 POUNDS or, for fans of the metric system, 115 KG! BAM! Also notice that one of her fellow competitors, Kristan Clever, is cheering her on. This was intensity at its best.
Congratulations to Breanne for getting a monster PR at the Games! More results coming as they are posted.
I learned so much at The Games this year. One thing you will notice about this and other images of the events is that form breaks down as intensity increases. Thank you Captain Obvious! Seriously, when you are going really hard, things get ugly, but that is why it is so important to, periodically, reduce intensity and focus on practicing a movement (as opposed to training a movement). Conversely, again, periodically, there are times when it is time to go big and just get it done any way that you can get it done. In a nutshell, when it is time to go hard, go really hard; when it is time to go easy, go easy. When and how we turn the volume up and down on intensity is the topic of an upcoming post.
