Saturday Workout Nutrition Discussion


After Saturday workout, we had an interesting discussion regarding nutrition. Here is the recipe and information about TLC Ranch we talked about.

Avocado Key Lime Pudding:
Puree together:
1 med-large avocado
1/4 to 1/2 cup plain yogurt
stevia &/or raw honey to taste
Juice of one lime

You can find TLC products at the Farmers Market in Mountain View at the Caltrain Station every Sunday from 9am to 1pm. Rebecca, one of the partners of TLC, has a blog that was very interesting.

Also we talked about the Blue Zone, a National Geographic article and a book regarding longevity. To be clear, a diet with its primary result of longevity may or may not but the appropriate diet for athletic performance. I will try to find this edition of NG at my mom’s house and bring it in.

U.S. Wellness meats provides grass-fed meat. Cathy says the liverwurst, head cheese and braunschweiger are good. No comment on the head cheese. 😉
