This weekend SFCF hosted the Affiliate Cup Throwdown.
The workout:
– 4 person teams (at least one woman)
– 2 people drag a metal grate sled with 3 45# plates
– 1 person zerche (sp?) carries a 45# metal tube (like a baby carry)
– 1 person rests
The team walks .3 miles, does 30 burpees. The tube can never touch the ground, and specific rules on how to carry. If it drops, 20 burpees for the team.
So after the half-way point, you turn it around and come home.
Ha! So that’s what Bozman was referring to this morning when he said “I have an idea for Saturday’s WOD…muahahahaha.” Only awesomeness for sure. 😉
This morning we did tug of war (I think there were 16 of us) and it was fantastic in all its hand-skin-melting, leg-cramping, fun-fun-fun glory!
unless 6 people who kick more ass than i are already on the team, put me down to compete. i’d sign up at the box, but my kind aren’t welcome there.
Does this mean the morning workout at 9am is cancelled?
I can make it tomorrow if we have enough to compete.
Saul,
Can you send out an email once we have enough?
Flavia, Saturday AM at Sequoia is on. See you then.
P.S. Travis, there is not even 6 people inteh world that kick more ass than you and shut up about no 6:30 AM class, come later in the day and play with the pipe-hitters.
whatever. do we have a team or not? i need to know whether to get drunk and chase women or go to bed (sober and solo) early tonight.
There is also a throwdown at One World on the 30th. I think we could pull a team together for that one for sure. I would be in for that. Saul, can you post it on the site soon. That way people can plan ahead.
