2013 — The Year of Adventure

2013 is the year of adventure at MDSoF. What we think defines adventure is that it has a planned outcome but you aren’t entirely sure what the outcome will be once you start into it. Every adventure has to have some factors that you can control and some that you can’t control, i.e. risk. Susan and I went on a 3 mile hike at Wunderlich Park. We had never been there, so that was a little adventure. Not every adventure has to be some epic, no-s&$t-there-I-was, life-threatening death march.

We will have some ready-made adventures for you and hopefully we will get some from you. Some adventures will be gym-based and some will not be. Some adventures will be solo and some will require a group. It will start with Healthy Holidays (check the next newsletter for what that means), a Look Better (Almost) Naked Challenge in January, continue into the CrossFit Games Open and we will just keep on rollin’ through the year one adventure at a time.

One last thing, adventures require a goal. If you don’t have a goal or if you have a goal but you need someone to help you crystallize it, email Susan or I for an appointment to talk things over. We will stop doing this when don’t have any more time, so take advantage of this offer before we get too busy.

To whet your whistle, here is the start of many inspiring adventure videos. If you have a video you want to share, include it here or send Saul a link. This video can be a little tedious but make sure you see the end.
