Schedule Updates

I have posted the new stretching schedule on the scheduling system, but here it is for your convenience:

Thurs, 3/17, at 6 – 7 PM
Thurs, 3/24, at 6 – 7 PM
Thurs, 3/31, at 6 – 7 PM

As I am sure you have noticed, Jason has been training for the CrossFit Games since late October. I think he is as fit as he as ever been (and he wasn’t exactly slacking before this last training cycle either).

This year the CrossFit Games Open Qualifiers (what they called the sectionals last year) is a six week, worldwide competition in the sport of fitness. The Open is the first step in the CrossFit Games season and takes place from March 15 until April 24. There is one workout per week for six weeks, and athletes compete to qualify for the CrossFit Games at local CrossFit affiliates, like MDSF.

From March 19 to April 23 we are going to have Saturday workouts at the gym from 9 to 10 AM. The workout will be whatever the Games Open workout is and can be scaled for us mere mortals. These workouts are meant to provide Jason some competition, well more like pacing, and are meant to be like fun only slightly different. If you are recovering, you are welcome to come by and cheer for Jason.

If you want to register to be an official competitor, it is $10 per person (not necessary to do the workout), MDSF will reimburse your registration fee. If you choose to sign-up, you are not committed to do all the workouts, but it will be easier to have a team.
